SIM Residency, Nordic and Baltic Program, Iceland

The Nordic and Baltic Program is a fully funded residency program generously supported by the Nordic Culture Point. In order to be eligible for the program you need to be a professional artist living in one of the Nordic or Baltic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania). Nordic and Baltic artists based in other countries cannot apply.

A granted residency is from the first to the last day of the relevant month. Artists can apply for a minimum of one and a maximum of two months stay during the period from January-June 2011.

Artists are provided with a private bedroom and a private studio in the SÍM residency apartment on Seljavegur, where they have access to a shared kitchen, living room and bathrooms. The artists are granted with a travel stipend and a stipend for living expenses. Residency fee (studio rent), electricity, heating and wireless internet is also included.
